Tony De Minico ActivOT TA Thorngate, is a motivated, hard-working individual who is intrinsically driven to provide the highest level of client focussed care. This ethos has been entrenched through his previous experience in the advertising industry.
As a Therapy Assistant, he understands the importance of working collaboratively with Allied Health clinicians to improve his client’s quality of life and function. His clinical area of interest is driver training, and he is undertaking further studies to become a certified instructor. He works closely with occupational therapists to support and train individuals to gain and maintain their driver’s licence.
Tony has mentored young individuals to improve their skills and achieve their sporting goals for over a decade. He utilises these skills to create rapport and motivate clients to improve their functional skills in self-care, household tasks, community participation, social integration and leisure activities.
Outside of ActivOT, he is a loving and caring father and husband. His weekends are spent watching his sons play sport and cycling with his friends. When he is not ‘out and about’ he enjoys gatherings with friends and family, surrounded by home-made food and wine.
