Jessica Rainbird, B App Sc OT

Jessica Rainbird, ActivOT Belair, has had an extensive working career. She has clinical expertise in working with clients with a range of health conditions having experience in working in a number of countries and settings.

At the core of Jessica’s work is developing a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients and tailoring her treatment to their individual needs.

Jessica began her occupational therapy career at St Mary’s Hospital in London, working in the medical and mental health services. Later, Jessica worked within the Homeless Person Unit in East London where she lived for ten years.

Jessica then moved with her family to Zimbabwe and later Singapore where she began her experience in paediatric occupational therapy. Eventually, Jessica joined a consultancy working in some of the international schools in Singapore.

Since returning to Adelaide in 2010, Jessica has focussed on raising her three now-adult children while working as an occupational therapist in the area of adult rehabilitation.

Jessica has skills in the assessment and treatment with of clients with various clinical conditions including:

• geriatrics
• oncology
• palliative care
• mental health
• paediatrics

Jessie is kept busy with her large extended family living in Adelaide and loves spending time bush walking, camping, gardening and enjoys propagating plants (a crazy plant lady at heart).
