Emma Hill, MOccTh (GradEntry) / BAppSc (HumMovmt)

ActivOT Croydon

Emma Hill, ActivOT Croydon, completed a Master of Occupational Therapy at The University of South Australia in 2009.

Emma has a passion for community work, initially working and supporting people with Multiple Sclerosis before working for three years for a community centre in Melbourne as the sole OT in a diverse multi-disciplinary team. In this role, she worked mainly with older culturally and linguistically diverse clients.

Since her relocation back to her native Adelaide, she has worked specifically supporting people with low vision and blindness and has experience working with the following funding streams:

  • Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
  • My Aged Care
  • Home Care Package
  • DVA
  • NDIS
  • Workplace Assessments and Fee for Service.

Emma has a warm and empathetic approach to supporting and helping others. She empowers her clients to achieve the best outcomes, meaning that as her client she is focused on YOU – your strengths, your challenges and enabling you “to live the life you have imagined”.

Areas of particular clinical interest for Emma include:

  • functional assessments
  • assistive technology prescription
  • equipment prescription
  • minor environmental modifications
  • life skills training
Outside of her love for work, you will find Emma and her husband wrangling bikes and scooters with their two children and their Golden Retriever, Winnie, at their local coffee haunt on Queen St, Croydon. She also enjoys spending time along the Fleurieu Peninsula, exploring local food and wine with friends and family, immersing herself in a good book or attempting to wakeboard along the Murray River.
