Anna Westlake (B App Sc OT)

Anna Westlake, ActivOT Prospect, graduated from the University of South Australia in 2010.

The majority of Anna’s career has been in the child and adolescent mental health sector as a Senior Occupational Therapist, with acting stints as Principal Occupational Therapist. She has worked extensively with the Department for Child Protection, adult mental health services and disability service providers to ensure children and families with complex mental health issues and disability are having opportunity to engage in meaningful activities.

Anna has most recently employed in a statewide service working with adults and older persons with complex and severe mental health issues.

Anna has a passion for working with children, adults, older persons and families who experience disconnection from their communities and daily occupations due to disability and mental health issues.

Anna is a holistic practitioner and works systemically ensuring services are enabling engagement in meaningful occupation. Anna marries her psychotherapy background with a functional lens to ensure that clients feel seen, heard and supported whilst working toward their goals. Anna enjoys working with people and learning from her clients. She has strong core values that include equity and respect and she believes the client is the expert in their own journey.

Anna has been an active participant in leadership programs within SA Health and is passionate about ensuring everyone has access to Occupational Therapy services. She is NDIS registered and, in 2022, she is studying for her Masters in Juris Doctor (Law).

In her spare time, Anna, an aspiring musician, enjoys spending time with her children and family, travelling, singing, getting amongst her rose garden and the beach – you might even catch her on a surfboard!
