About Katie

Katie is an experienced Occupational Therapist who works with people facing mental health challenges and complex support needs. She takes a practical, down-to-earth approach and focuses on helping people build routines, skills, and confidence. Katie has a strong interest in how cognitive disabilities impact day-to-day functioning. This insight is especially important when preparing reports for clients with complex mental health needs. When providing therapy services, she uses this knowledge to tailor support in a way that makes everyday life more manageable and meaningful for the people she works with. Katie has worked in the mental health field for over 19 years, across both hospital and community settings, and has a strong background in supporting people with complex mental health and cognitive disabilities, specialising in psychotic disorders, mood disorders and personality disorders. This includes individuals with dual diagnoses, forensic history, and complex psychosocial needs. She is known for being calm, consistent, and collaborative. Katie works closely with clients, families, and services to help things run as smoothly as possible. Outside of work, Katie lives by the beach and enjoys beach walks and keeping active with her daughters and their energetic Cavoodle, Milly. She also loves spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals.
