Maggie Gibson, ActivOT Onkaparinga, is driven by a deep commitment to empowering her clients to reach their goals and live life to the fullest. She loves what she does and believes her role as an occupational therapist is more than just a profession; it’s her purpose. Maggie is passionate about helping people regain comfort and ease in their daily lives, knowing that each milestone her clients achieve brings them closer to their own goals and dreams. She finds fulfillment not only in the transformative impact of her work but also in the rewarding connections she forms with so many remarkable individuals along the way. Outside of work, Maggie’s life is enriched by her family—five vibrant teenagers and young adults and three beloved dogs. Whether unwinding by the sea, enjoying coastal walks, or adventuring in her caravan with family and friends, she finds joy and balance in the simple pleasures of life.

Maggie's Professional Background & Contact Details

Originally trained in the UK, Maggie completed her occupational therapy degree at the University of Teesside in 1997. In 2005, she made Adelaide her home, bringing with her a wealth of experience across diverse settings. Since joining ActivOT in 2019, Maggie has focused on supporting Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Home Care Package clients, as well as NDIS participants, by ensuring each client’s goals are met at a pace suited to their individual needs. Her practical, down-to-earth style fosters a positive, collaborative environment that makes therapy both effective and achievable.
