About Yang
Yang is a passionate occupational therapist dedicated to improving the lives of others. Driven by a desire to listen to individuals’ needs and help them achieve their goals, she connects with diverse clientele, communicating fluently in both Mandarin and English.
Originally from China, Yang believes that attention to detail and a strong, supportive structure are essential for growth in every aspect of life. She strives to empower her clients to become more independent and live the lives they desire, using a holistic approach that recognises each person’s unique circumstances and strengths.
Because everyone’s environment and abilities differ, Yang tailors her interventions accordingly. She is confident in trailing a variety of sensory tools, functional gadgets, and assistive equipment to improve clients’ independence in daily living, executive functioning, and self-regulation. Her practice includes working with high-functioning individuals who face emotional regulation or social barriers, supporting them to reach self-identified goals.
Throughout her career both in the public health system and community settings, Yang has gained extensive experience managing individuals with diverse conditions. She applies evidence-based techniques that complement, rather than replace, the roles of other professionals. Clear, open communication and a collaborative, interdisciplinary mindset are central to Yang’s work philosophy.
In her free time, Yang enjoys capturing life’s moments through photography and video, documenting and reflecting upon her experiences and those of the people she works with. Her dedication to lifelong learning, combined with her compassionate nature, ensures that clients receive individualized, evidence-based support, empowering them to pursue the meaningful outcomes they seek.
