Mark Allcock

Mark Allcock, ActivOT Henley Beach, was born and raised in Wales, UK. His extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist has developed his skills of working effectively within teams, as well as with clients of varied cultural backgrounds, their carers and support services. He has also worked as a Clinical Educator where he enjoyed working collaboratively with Occupational Therapy students and local Universities to achieve positive practice placements creating Occupational Therapy student clinics in the mental health setting. Mark has skills in a variety of Assessments and Therapeutic interventions and is skilled and experienced in: • Development of community and ward group programs • Group facilitation • Sensory Modulation • Lifestyle Therapy intervention • Behaviour activation • Sleep hygiene • Anxiety management • Activity analysis • Environmental modification • Service coordination Mark is passionate about recovery-orientated practice, seeing each person as an individual, supporting them to have control over their lives, giving hope, and building trusting therapeutic relationships – promoting well-being and personal recovery. When Mark isn’t being an Occupational Therapist in Adelaide, he loves spending time with his wife, two boys and their dog. Mark enjoys supporting his boys with their sporting activities, being outdoors in nature, football (soccer), movies and socialising with friends.
