About Simon

Simon Dabrowski, ActivOT Gold Coast, worked in the UK involved community, hospital and Day Therapy settings. His work in Saudi Arabia involved the care and treatment for members of the royal family and VIPs. Simon was also the rehabilitation consultant for the Crown Prince and was asked to consult for the King. Simon has served seven years in the ADF (Army Reserves) as a logistics officer and has family members who have also served time for Australia. He is strongly supportive of assisting our veterans in the community. Simon has completed projects with Aboriginal Elders in the Port Augusta and Ceduna communities and has worked extensively with the Aboriginal Liaison Officers in the Northern Area Local Health Network to support our indigenous members in the hospital and community. Simon’s roles as a senior occupational therapist have included: • manual handling facilitator for The Queen Elizabeth, Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals in Adelaide • supervisor of OT junior staff and allied health assistants • quality improvement projects. In 2020, Simon moved to Queensland to pursue his dream of owning an occupational therapy practice on the Gold Coast. Since then, Simon has worked with NDIS participants, Veterans, Care Package providers and private clients in the community. Simon is focused on supporting DVA and HCP recipients by providing occupation therapy that enhances independence, emotional well-being and quality of life. He delivers tailored services to assist older adults and veterans with daily living, mobility and meaningful community participation. Through his Gold Coast occupation therapy practice, Simon is committed to empowering individuals to live more independently and is now accepting new DVA and HCP referrals.

Simon's Professional Background & Contact Details

Simon completed his Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy with Honours in 2003 at the University of South Australia. Since that time he has worked in a variety of health care settings including community, acute hospital, Transition Care Programs, home care packages, hand therapy, paediatrics (hospital setting), Geriatric Evaluation Medicine (GEM) and Aged Care Facilities. Simon has worked here in Australia as well as overseas, including Scotland, England, Wales and Saudi Arabia.
