Sheaumay Chang

Sheaumay Chang, ActivOT TA Fulltarton, was born and raised in Malaysia with a Chinese heritage. She is multilingual, speaking English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysia, and Hokkien. From a young age, she worked on her family's farm, later dedicating long hours to the restaurant business. Her professional background is diverse‚ she originally studied Computer Science, but spent most of her career in customer service within the retail and hospitality industries. Since 1991, she managed Pagoda Restaurant, which was owned by her husband, until its unfortunate closure due to a fire in 2023. Despite the challenges, these experiences have been incredibly rewarding, enriching Sheaumay's life in many ways. They helped her to develop strong people skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep appreciation for meaningful connections. Sheaumay firmly believes that life is precious and that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a happy and healthy life. Guided by the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance, Sheaumay and her husband have always prioritised personal growth and helping others.
