About Kerin
Kerin has a particular passion for working with individuals who have experienced traumatic brain injuries (TBI), as well as those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities. She is committed to using a trauma-informed approach, ensuring that her care is sensitive to the impact of trauma and prioritises safety, trust, and empowerment. Her practice is highly individualised, focusing on each person’s unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations.
In addition to the below services Kerin provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic interventions, including:
• Developing strategies to support sensory regulation and nervous system calming
• Supporting NDIS plan reviews with detailed, evidence-based reports
• Collaborative Clinical Consultations
• Working closely with positive behaviour support practitioners, speech pathologists, and other allied health professionals to deliver transdisciplinary therapeutic interventions
• Conducting assessments and interventions for pre-learner drivers, learner drivers, senior drivers, and individuals returning to driving after injury or illness
Kerin’s work with individuals who have experienced TBI is guided by a deep understanding of the physical, cognitive, sensory and emotional challenges that can arise. She integrates trauma-informed principles into her practice, ensuring that her clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their capacity-building journey. Her approach emphasises collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure that all supports are aligned with the individual’s needs and goals.
Kerin is committed to providing community-based therapy that is practical, accessible, and focused on improving everyday life. Her recommendations are always grounded in the latest evidence and tailored to help individuals regain independence and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Outside of her occupational therapy practice, Kerin enjoys spending time with her two children, supporting their interests in the arts and sports.
