Tennille Ferguson
ActivOT Quality and Compliance Manager
Tennille Ferguson, currently serving as the Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager at ActivOT, initially embarked on her journey with the organisation in 2021 as a Business Manager. Born in Wagga Wagga, NSW, and raised in Canberra, Tennille’s path led her to Adelaide where she, alongside her high-school sweetheart and now husband, settled down after a three-year long-distance relationship that flourished through weekly handwritten letters. The couple’s journey has since been blessed with three wonderful children who are growing up swiftly.
Tennille holds an honours degree in History from the University of Adelaide, and honed her research and communication skills, which she applied in her subsequent research in modern history. Her career trajectory has seen her in roles that provided administrative support within the allied health sector, specifically in optometry, and in developing policy, procedures, and training manuals for a not-for-profit organisation working towards improved maternal health. Tennille’s flair for writing eventually led her to establish her own copywriting business, crafting content for law, human resources, and psychology sectors, as well as engaging in proofreading and editing for local council publications.
Tennille’s passions extend beyond her professional life; she is an avid fan of musical theatre, especially enamoured with the brilliance of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tim Minchin, and she enjoys reading and loves her local book club. Tennille’s favourite past-time is spending quality time with her loved ones, either at home, or travelling around the world together.
Tennille was drawn to the exceptional team culture and values of ActivOT. Her role involves not only enhancing the operational aspects of ActivOT but also focusing on policy, compliance, and the continuous improvement of procedures, ensuring high standards are maintained. Her guiding principle, “How can I add value?” reflects her dedication to service, providing enthusiastic and steadfast support to the ActivOT team. Tennille’s commitment to enhancing the lives of OTs and their clients underscores her invaluable contribution to ActivOT’s mission and values.
