Brian Lai, ActivOT Marion, graduated from the University of South Australia with a Master of Occupational Therapy in 2017.
Brian has a strong passion for providing high-quality personalised care. Since graduating, Brian has worked as a locum occupational therapist visiting clients and carrying out a variety of occupational therapy services in Adelaide.
Brian then worked as a lead occupational therapist in a large residential home. Brian is experienced in managing patients with complex dementia needs.
He is creative and skilled in equipment prescription, rehabilitation and therapy to enable patient’s independence and enhance functional capacity.
Brian offers comprehensive functional assessment, fall prevention strategies and pressure area care. He has also completed further training in oedema management.
Brian works closely with the University of South Australia as a clinical educator to occupational therapy students. This helps Brian to keep up to date with the latest research and evidence-based studies to help provide the highest quality and most up to date intervention.
Brian likes to be active in his spare time. When not at work, Brian participates in social basketball competition, petanque, and hikes.
